This document contains information and guidelines concerning i.e. the font, font size, headings of your manuscript.
We would like to ask you to adhere to these guidelines to ensure a coherent layout of the conference documentation.
The manuscript should be at least four and at most ten pages long. The template has DIN A4 format. The conference documentation, however, that will be published later, will have a DIN A5 format. Therefore, please do not change the font size for whatever reason into a smaller type.
Your manuscript must be in English. German Manuscripts will not be accepted for publication.
Deadline for the submission of your Manuscript is end of November 4th 2024.
Presentation
The presentation must be given in English. Simultaneous interpretation/translation is not provided.
The regular presentation within the scheduled slot of 30 minutes should last beween 20 and 25 minutes, ideally the talk should end after 22 minutes allowing for a 5 minute slot for discussions & questions. The discussion will be finished at latest three minutes before the end of the 30-minutes slot to have sufficient amount of time to prepare and announce the next speaker.
The keynote speakers have a slot of 45 minutes, the presentation time should lie in between 35 to 40 minutes, ideally ending after 37 minutes allowing for a discussion of five minutes.
Slides
Please use only English slides.
You should have your slides available on a memory stick when you arrive for the colloquium. Please hand in the presentation directly to the technicians in the lecture room during the break before your session at the latest. You are welcome to submit them at any other break as well.
Poster
For the first time, a poster session with scientific contributions takes place at AAC 2024. For the attendees who have been selected for a poster presentation, rules and guidelines are listed here.
- Posters have to be created in DIN-A0, portrait format (841 mm * 1189 mm), and should contain selected relevant information of your paper in English language.
- A template for the poster is provided. Note than in contrast to the manuscript, using this template is optional.
- Posters should be placed in the designated spots in the poster presentation area, at latest at 8.30 am on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024. Material for fixing the poster to the stands will be provided.
- All persons presenting the poster have to give a short pitch (max. 3 minutes) which will take place at the beginning of the poster session. This short pitch can be supported by 2-3 presentation slides (please either upload your pitch beforehand or transfer the file at the venue before the poster session). Alternatively, the poster file will be shown during your pitch.
- The AAC offers to print your posters (free of charge). For this, please upload the poster file here (.pptx or .pdf). The deadline for printing is Monday, November, 18th, 23:59.

Technical Equipment
- General sound system for speech amplification with microphones (personal and fixed to the desk)
- Special sound system for the reproduction of demo sound files in high fidelity (connection analogue via 3.5 mm laptop connector or digital AES/EBU)
- Efficient video/data projectors with high resolution (HD 1920*1080 or better)
- A laptop (Windows 10) providing Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat (both in the latest version) for presentation
- Qualified technicians who will assist you
